Who We Are
The Kearney Robotics Club is an active member of the FIRST® Robotics Competition. Our goal is to help KHS students find their passion in the field of STEM or at the very least find a fun hobby in a community of friends. We achieve this by building robots to perform different tasks such as shooting balls or climbing ropes. In the robotics team, there is a place for all types of people and learners, and there can never be too many members helping to build crazy robots. We don't expect our members to come in with any knowledge of how to build a robot; we will teach you everything you need to know from square one and if you already know some stuff, all the better. There are plenty of muscle jobs to be done as well if technical work isn't your can of soup. In robotics, there's always time for laughter and messing around during meetings and competitions. We hope that you will come give us a try and if you have any questions please direct them to one of our faculty sponsors Mary Moore or Justin Leon at moorem@ksdr1.net or leonj@ksdr1.net respectively. You can also reach out to our Administrative Team Captain Joey Moore at morgeo18@ksdr1.net.
